Pebeo paint with Felicity

Hello, Felicity here today.

I have been playing in my art journal again this time experimenting with some Pebeo paint. These paints are mainly used for fabric or porcelain.
This time what I did was layer my watercolour paper first with Gesso. Then I used a spatula and layer my colours on. Of course I didn't wait for Gesso to try, who has time for that... Tee hee. Because the gesso was still wet, it allowed these paint colours to be 'toned' down.

I then used some black Alcohol ink and put a stripe at the top and then tipped my book up so that the ink would drip.

I did then wait for all this try. Then I used a stencil/mask and a sponge and put some circles on the page. As you can see, same colours but darker, that because there was no wet gesso.
Once these dried I grabbed a nappy wipe and rubbed the circles, removing some paint so that it would leave some 'white worn' patches.

To finish off I doodled around some circles, added some stamping and a title.

 

Material list: Pebeo lightgreen, Parma Violet, Azure, Alcohol ink black, Watercolour paper.

Its amazing what you can do with products that aren't necessarily made for paper.
After all aren't Art rules there to be broken?? Tee hee

Mixed Media with Felicity

Hello, Felicity here today.

You know how sometimes you just wanted to get messy hands, experiment and break all rules possible with products.

Yes, that was me with this canvas I created for a dear sweet friend of mine.

I used fabric paint, porcelain paint, alcohol markers and mexpy pens. I layer a lot of colours here and kept layering until I was happy with the end result.

I apologise, but I didn't get any step by step photos.

Some detail shots of all the layers and texture.

Mexpy Markers with felicity

Hello, Felicity here again today.
I have been playing with the Mexpy markers and what can I say... endless possibilities with these.
Once again, I went to my art journal. I love my art journal, its a place I can just play and experiment with different mediums and get the idea of how they work.

I stamped with some archival ink lots of flowers on the Canson bleed proof paper.

I then choose out a few of the bright colours that I knew would complement each other.
(M09 - magenta / 120 - black / 00 - colourlss / R08 - vermilion / L07 - natural green)
I then coloured these little flowers in. Arent they cute!

I then cut them out and placed them on my art journal page.  They just made that page look so much brighter. I love them.

Cant wait to play with these markers more.

Fabric Paint with Felicity

 

Hello, Felicity here today.
I have had a little play the last few weeks with some fabric paint from Crafty Crausders. I haven't had much experience with this product, but what I will say its I had a lot fun and cant wait to use them again.
  I grabbed some Calico fabric, my favourite fabric paint colours and my Gelli plate. (Parma Violet, Blanc white, light green, oriental blue, Bengal pink, Garnet red, bleuet cornflower, butter cup orange)  

  I then kept layering my colours and pattern on the gelli plate until I was happy. This is how my piece of fabric turned out.

  I then thought that it would look so cute as tags.  

  I made quiet few colourful pieces and even decided to cut petals out and pop them in my art journal.
