MEPXY MAX 15TH EDITION
Pika-Saiyan
BY Ash Chain
Created with Canson Drawing 220 paper and Mepxy Brush Markers
Hello all! SO here's a super fun one! Pikachu wearing a Saiyan scouter! Two of my favourite things from my childhood ever.
Start with your line work. I use a standard art liner 0.8 and 0.2 in thickness.
When colouring anime style pieces you want to use block shading. So there won't be any shading or blending.
When shading the scouter I used a dark medium and light markers. The darkest tone is for Pikachu's eye as well as the lightest tone. The medium tone is for the scouter lens. The ear piece only has two tones in it, a dark and light tone. This is super basic shading the placement is key to create shadows.
Now for the anime shading. Red for his sparky cheeks a orange/yellow tone for his lower shadow and an all over Pika yellow. I go over the darker orange/yellow with the light yellow to lend itself to the darker yellow.
Finally to create a little shadow under Pikachu. Just use a light grey to shade under him!
Taa Daa! Attack ready Pika-Saiyan!
Colours Used: NG02, Y19, O23, O09, NG04, O02, R02, R32, N09.
